History

While performing my job as a stay-at-home mom, I was able to also pursue my passion for interior design. Living in five different homes along the way allowed me to gain experience with a broad range of projects including remodeling, updating, designing additions and even a complete new home construction project. Using my homes as a showroom, my friends began to ask me for help with their homes. This inspired me to create my own design consultation business.

As my children grew older and more independent, I decided to return to college to earn my formal Interior Design degree. While going to school, I had several internships which allowed me to gain a great deal of experience as well as develop new skills. I was hired immediately upon graduation as an Interior Designer for a full-service interior design firm in Elm Grove, Wisconsin.

Founding of iDesign 4 Interiors, LLC

I stayed with this firm for two years before deciding to establish iDesign 4 Interiors, LLC with the goal to create a firm that puts customers first and treats suppliers as valued partners to deliver on customer dreams. We have been blessed with working on a very wide range of client projects from Lake Drive to Oconomowoc. We are a talented, creative, interior design team that enjoy working with each other and with our clients. If you are new to iDesign 4 Interiors, we hope that we get a chance to work with you too. If you are a current customer, we thank you for making our firm such a success. We fully appreciate your business.

Design Philosophy

I feel that as an interior designer it is my job to interpret your personal style and incorporate that into your overall design scheme. Working to create spaces that welcome you and make you feel comfortable is my utmost objective.

History

From Minneapolis to Milwaukee, and around the world in between, I have come a long way to break into the Interior Design industry. Born and raised in Minneapolis, I moved to Milwaukee for college and also spent two semesters studying abroad and teaching in China. After earning a Bachelors Degree in International Studies from UWM, I had the opportunity to work as a study abroad advisor, and then worked in retail management. After this varied work history, I longed to find a new career path. As a result, I returned to school to learn new and specialized skills that would allow me to utilize past experiences in different ways. With an Associate Degree in Interior Design, I am happy to say I have found my calling. I enjoy working one-on-one with my clients to find solutions for their design challenges. In addition to client work, I have also added Operations Manager to my repertoire. As the business grows, I am happy to lend my management experience to the team as I also contribute to the company's success behind-the-scenes.

I’m happy to share that I’m currently expecting baby number two this fall! So until after maternity leave, I am winding down with client projects and focusing on my role as Operations Manager for the company in lieu of client work. As my career evolves, I am lucky to have the support of my loving husband Greg, my son Samuel, mystery baby, and my parents and sisters living in Minneapolis and Iowa. I am looking forward to the many challenges ahead and am dedicated to always finding creative solutions in both work and life.

Design Philosophy

I approach each project as a new and exciting challenge, no matter how small or large it may be. My ultimate goal with each client is to create a design footprint that meets their needs, lifestyle and pocketbook. To achieve this, I have the educational background and professional experience to draw on, but also recognize that the Interior Design industry is constantly evolving and that I will grow with it.

History

Although I was born in Chicago, my family moved to the Milwaukee area when I was a young child. I grew up in Thiensville and Franklin, and after high school graduation I was off to Alverno College where I received degrees in English and French. I taught high school for a couple years until it was time to raise a family. My most important and rewarding job has been that of being a Mother. I have always enjoyed a passion for design and décor, helping many friends with their homes along the way. Over twenty years ago I began my professional career as an Interior Designer. The experience and rewards in this field are indescribable. I have been able to express my creativity, coupled with my innate ability to com- municate those ideas with my clientele. I have been able to provide them with the finished…polished…product they were searching for. And, with those experiences came the opportunity to become not only a design consultant, but also a mentor, moderator and role model for others looking to work in the design field. The most recent implementation of my capabilities has been to assist with liturgical environment in my home parish. I have found that every environment desires to be expressed and enhanced. Working with iDesign 4 Interiors has been especially rewarding, as I am able to work with people who are passionate and dedicated to the ultimate design process. And, the enthusiasm of my co-designers is truly inspiring. Remodeling and new construction are my passion, yet no project is too big or too small. I have been involved with hundreds of projects in my career, and each one has generated a new exciting opportunity for me to make design dreams come true.

Design Philosophy

I truly believe that a design project should be a reflection of the homeowner, not the designer. It is never my intention to project a “signature” look. It is definitely my intent to produce an environment that bespeaks the heart and personality of my client. I proudly will always communicate my design ideas with an enthusiasm that allows the homeowner’s true style to surface. I want your home to be your style, your refuge, and a place that makes you say and feel “WOW” every time you come home.

History

Though I am a native of Wisconsin, my family moved to the Chicago area where I finished high school and began attending the Community College of DuPage Illinois. My career path was always to become an Interior Designer. That path took a detour when I married, worked for 4 years, and then began a family. As a stay at home mom of 4 children for 18 years I kept my creative juices flowing in my own home and with creative outlets through my church and volunteer work in my children's schools.

When my youngest child was entering the 4th grade I took a part time position with Strong Mutual Funds. Though it was a wonderful job it did not utilize my driving creative force. I finally made the decision to return to school and finish what I began so many years ago.

Everything came full circle when I received my Associates Degree in Interior Design and I began working professionally in the field. I approach each new project with pent up enthusiasm. I love working with people, helping them solve their design challenges, and creating artful yet functional environments that make their homes a place they love to be.

Design Philosophy

My design philosophy is to create a gracious environment for each client that reflects his or her taste and lifestyle. Building on the clients input, my job is to guide their considerations of such elements as the homes existing features and proportions, the sources of light and the function required in each space. From these pieces evolve gracious, warm and inspired rooms, unique spaces that tell the clients personal story in a timeless way.

History

I feel very fortunate to have discovered my passion for Interior Design a bit later in life. I started my career path with a bachelor's degree in Business. After 15 years in new home sales and design, I decided to return to school and earn a degree in Interior Design. Quite happily, I now find myself able to do work that I love. My family and I have twice gone through the new home construction process and continue to do home improvements projects. Through these experiences, I have come to realize that whether working with a client on a new construction project or their existing home, that as we experience our lives and our families grow, our needs are constantly changing and our home environments can grow and adapt with us beautifully. I am confident that I have the educational, personal and professional experience to take my clients through the many decisions that need to be made to make their individual project a success.

Design Philosophy

In my experience, I have learned that effective interior design is much more involved than just putting colors together in an aesthetically pleasing way. While color selection is an important aspect of interior design, I find it is equally important for a designer to plan a space so that it functions optimally for its user. I listen carefully to clients wants, needs and desires to help them to identify their personal style and apply that own unique style to their home environments. I love the challenge of discovering the perfect blend of functionality and beauty to create spaces for clients that are harmonious and peaceful havens that they love coming home to time and again.
